This pitching tool is also known as a hand set. The SM40-O has a 1-1/2" wide flat carbide blade and the SM50-O has a 2" blade, both with an oval body. Stone masons tip this carbide hand chisel on its edge and strike it along a line to square and trim granite or other hard stone. When the blade becomes dull, turn and use the other edge. The tungsten carbide on this chisel is recessed deep into the steel body allowing for multiple sharpening and long life.
